Ode to distance

Feeling alone as he is miles away from wife and little Woo. It worsens postpartum recovery over a long distance marriage. Not just for mum but for dad too!

Far away from the love of her life who helped make the bundle of warm skin and fluffy hair which now lays on her aching shoulders. Waiting for who was once a stranger and now a husband to a father who is bolder.

Under the covers they slip into bed waiting for dad to wake them from deep slumber. Dreaming of days to feel his tight embrace in a land of forever summers.

One became two which now became three. Their love is stronger and sets their hearts free. Free to love each other more than before and free from the distance that came between them momentarily…
